The project was based in Ormonde, a light commercial / industrial area in South Western Johannesburg.The design of three warehouses with optimum flexibility to cater for varied / as yet indeterminate utilization was envisioned. An added aesthetic consideration was to develop distinctive units – able to reflect the unique accommodation of prospective tenants – but also cohesively connect in design formulation.

The cited criteria of flexible and distinctive accommodation were architecturally reflected by providing for:

  • Common Frontage
  • Individualized reception areas
  • Back storage and warehouse facilities with secure access
  • The provision of eyebrow slabs to define and individualize the units
  • Design allowance for signage use to generate easy identification and draw public interest
