The school precinct presents itself as a loose conglomerate of converted houses to provide classroom forums. In the absence of an overall masterplan and fluid spatial organization, the architectural intervention sought to utilize the landscape in between the dislocated spaces.

A multi-use platform for gross motor activation, forum for play and pupil performance / gatherings through landscaping and adapted spatial design was envisaged. The prominent slope within the site was developed into a natural amphitheatre with the staircase generating consistency, rhythm and variance.

Responding emphatically to the play brief and within the “intimate” confines of an in between space, a number of textured, colourful and interactive installations, varied materiality, diverse play equipment, and spatial demarcations were incorporated.
