The consideration was to extend the available play programme utilizing the roof of the newly built indoor pool structure to develop multiple / different platforms of interaction / utilization. Although generally inspired by the putt-putt concept / brief, the configuration of the rooftop sought to dynamize and activate creativity, imagination through play. Accordingly, in addition to a series of putting holes, the collective composition of space allowed for flexible, interpretive play, relaxation use (eg; yoga, running, ball games)
The perimeter of the targeted area was demarcated with an extended wrap-around, built-in seating configuration. A timber pergola edging the seating provided required shade whilst simultaneously allowing for a permeable connection / extension with the green surrounds.
